Who we are
PTS Rentals, Inc. is Central California's leading source for power generation and temperature control. From our Bakersfield headquarters we serve all of Northern, Southern, and Central California, and we have the capacity to deploy equipment anywhere in the United States.
Founded in 1997, PTS Rentals has grown by consistently delivering quality equipment and dependable service. Customers rely on us for prompt delivery and ongoing support, wherever and whenever it is needed.
Our mission is to deliver equipment and service that outperform industry benchmarks. We take a needs-first approach: we listen carefully, we never up-sell, and we provide exactly the right power generation or temperature control solution at a competitive price.
What we do
Rentals
A full line of rental equipment: power generators, automatic transfer switches, transformers and high-voltage cable, air compressors, light towers, and temperature control including A/C units, water chillers, and dehumidifiers. Ready for quick delivery and professional setup for construction, events, and emergency use.
Sales
As an authorized dealer for Carrier, Cummins Onan, Multiquip, and MMD, we supply new generators for commercial, industrial, and emergency backup applications, along with accessories such as automatic transfer switches, controllers, and exhaust silencers. We also buy and sell used generators, air compressors, and transfer switches. Every used unit is inspected and reconditioned by our certified technicians to meet manufacturer specifications.
Service
Our service department never closes. We run 24/7 mobile and in-house repair for generators, chillers, and temperature control equipment, covering delivery, installation, monitoring, refueling, and emergency response. Annual preventative maintenance is available for standby generators.
Turnkey power projects
For large-scale work and critical operations we handle the whole job: system design, logistics, installation, fuel management, and on-site technical support. That can mean a single unit or a complete temporary power plant.
The fleet
Generators from 7.5 kW to 2,000 kW in stationary, portable, and trailer-mounted configurations. Emergency standby stationary units up to 2,500 kW in all voltages, with automatic transfer switches up to 4,000 amps. Our team specializes in high-voltage systems.

Recent work
PTS Rentals delivered 21 megawatts of temporary substation power to Chevron's Lost Hills/Conn 3 oil field so production could continue while PG&E replaced three miles of high-line transmission. A second phase at 28 megawatts followed.
